We’re thrilled to share the progress of an exciting project here at 2nd Chances Homestead—our natural swimming pond! After weeks of planning, we officially dug out the pond area in 2022, and let it fill with water, allowing us to observe the natural flow and movement. Watching it take shape has been a beautiful reminder of the power of nature’s design. Now, two years later, we are finally working toward the final steps to making this dream become reality. Slow progress is still progress, right?!?
Next steps? We’ll be layering the bottom with clay, adding river rocks for texture and stability, and working on a custom filtration system to keep the water clean and inviting. We can’t wait to see it transform into a sustainable, refreshing oasis! Stay tuned for more updates as we work toward making this dream a reality.
